There are many things that I cannot do well or even at all. Many things. However, I've been been blessed with the ability to speak to crowds in a funny, entertaining and poignant manner. Well there's no better way to assess that this:
What might make me an expert in this regard isn't about writing a book. Last time I thought about it, there have probably been over 10 million books written. I have no idea really. My chief value as a speaker is that I've brought this work front and centre in my own life and I waited years until it was fully ready. You see, I could have written the Right Action Man book 7 years ago. It would have been half-assed. It didn't sit well with me; enough of the words were there, but the actions I wrote about still didn't feel fully landed in my own being (continued in next block).
Book Ben for Speaking
When someone really gets it, they feel activated within. Finally, the fog lifted. I could see for miles. In no time, I whipped together this web site, re-wrote chapters in a flash, finished the rest of the book, and fully stepped into my role as "Ben Porchuk, Right Action Man - in training." 'In training' is all I ever need to be. Besides, formalized superheroes even have several great falls from which producers find interesting enough to make blockbuster movies. Who ever wanted to watch a Superman movie where ever move he made was in right action? How boring. In training, is all we ever need to be.
Topics: What specifically do I talk about? Is it entertaining? Will any guy really want to come and hear about a guy talking about men becoming more sensitive? I blend personal stories and experiences with the gifts that I have brought down through the process of putting pen to paper. And now for offer, I give you my best voice. Fortunate for some, it's not completely dry. Others appreciate that I get the humour thing. I see my own folly. While there's some urgency and seriousness I speak with, the key resonating device I employ in all of my talks is an authentic voice. This sound has brought me into mostly authentic actions - and man, I'm so inspired to share them! Check out the Speaker page to see a live sample of my talks.
Speaking Fees: I might speak for your group for a million dollars. I might also do it for $20,000, or somewhere in between. I would also strongly consider speaking for free, or somewhere in between.
